SJ sees the structure underneath. That perception is not a method SJ learned. It is how SJ is built. Twice-exceptional, autistic and gifted, SJ reads systems the way others read faces, detecting drift, misalignment, and structural strain long before they surface as the things organisations actually notice: the unhappiness, the complaints, the disengagement, the strategy that never took hold. The same cognition that makes ordinary professional environments demanding is the cognition that locates a structural fault others have managed around for years. SJ has spent a lifetime understanding, from the inside, what it costs a mind to operate in a system built against it. That is precisely the understanding that reveals why whole organisations drift out of alignment, and what it takes to redesign them so they hold.
Little Red Notebook is the practice built on that read. SJ works with executives and organisations carrying complexity that conventional consulting has not resolved, diagnosing the cause beneath the symptoms and redesigning the structure producing them. Across more than thirty years in government, corporate, health, education, and community sectors, SJ has worked at every level from frontline delivery to acting chief executive, and has twice received the Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Community Business Partnerships. That range is part of why the diagnosis lands quickly. SJ has seen the same structural faults recur across very different organisations, and learned to name them without flinching.
SJ's approach is direct, structural, and grounded. It does not soften the read to make it easier to receive, because the organisations that benefit most are the ones ready to hear what is actually happening. The work is not about fixing people. It is about redesigning the systems they are asked to operate inside.
